 Within easy drive from the city of Chalon Sur Saone, a choice fine chateaux to visit such as the chateau of Rully (in the same family for 850 years) make Chalon Sur Saone a perfect center for visiting the region.

The shipyard

 The shipyard of Chalon Sur Saone's port has been reopened. It is placed on a strategic position on the Saone a hundred kms from Lyon and nearby the canal du centre, the burgundy canal, the canal between the Marne and Saone rivers and the canal between the Rhine and the Rhone.
